Bronya Anticor

Can be applied directly to a rusted surface!

Liquid thermal insulation coating
Bronya Anticor

Bronya Anticor liquid thermal insulation coating is the first and only material that can be applied directly onto a rusted surface. Simply remove all loose rust particles with a wire brush, and then the Bronya Anticor coating can be applied immediately according to the instructions.

Bronya Anticor is a special, extremely fine thermal insulation coating with enhanced adhesion and anti-corrosion properties. It is resistant to ultraviolet radiation and chemicals (such as saline, acids, and certain petroleum derivatives). The coating extends the service life of insulated surfaces and protects them from corrosion. The extremely thin thermal insulation is used for thermal insulation of steel structures, metal structures, pipelines, and various industrial plants exposed to high humidity and/or aggressive environments. The operating temperature is from -60°C to +150°C.

Using Bronya Anticor products on installations and pipelines significantly reduces operating costs because it does not require special surface preparation before application. To reduce costs, it can be applied as a first layer before applying classic Bronya thermal insulation.

Bronya Anticor:

  • Reduces or completely eliminates condensation on cold pipelines and ventilation systems. No shutdown required.
  • Reduces emergency repair costs by shortening the time needed to locate damage and remove old insulation – protects metal from thermal stress.
  • It is used as the first layer for other Bronya coatings. If Bronya Anticor is used as the first layer, only two layers are needed Bronya Facade or Bronya Classic coating:
      • First Layer – 0.5 mm Bronya Anticor (anti-corrosion agent, primer, and waterproofing layer)
      • Second coat after 24 hours of drying – 1 mm Bronya Facade or Bronya Classic
      • Third layer after 24 hours of drying – 1 mm Bronya Facade or Bronya Classic

Packaging and Modifications

Bronya Anticor is a thermal insulation coating specifically designed for poorly prepared metal surfaces, such as those from which rust has only been manually scraped or that have not been properly degreased. It adheres excellently to metal, plastic, and similar materials, and can be applied to surfaces with temperatures ranging from 7°C to +150°C.

Instructions for use

A) The surface must be cleaned of dirt, dust, and old paint and be sanded, and it is also recommended to remove rust to eliminate large particles. On metal surfaces, no ‘bloomed’ rust should remain, as it will reappear after application. BRONYA ANTICOR peel off the substrate along with the coating. Metal surfaces should be brushed with wire brushes or ground with an angle grinder until all rust is completely removed before application. Rust-free metal surfaces should be coated with an anti-corrosion primer and left to dry for at least 2 hours. New metal surfaces should be carefully cleaned of any preservatives. The prepared surface must be free of cracks, grease, and must be completely dry. It also must not be too flexible.

B) To apply the coating BRONYA ANTICOR can be applied to a metal surface prone to rust, temperatures from 90°C to +150°C, it must be cleaned of dirt and grease, and then coated or BRONYA ANTICOR coating (recommended) or 1-2 coats of anti-corrosion agent.

C) If Bronya ANTICOR intended for application on a rust-resistant metal surface; the surface should be mechanically stripped of its shiny layer, cleaned of impurities, degreased, and then coated with 1-2 layers of anti-corrosive agent.

BRONYA ANTICOR it is generally ready for use, but can be diluted with distilled water. The amount of distilled water depends on the temperature of the surface to which it is applied, air temperature and humidity, method of use, and other factors. For application on a surface at temperatures from +5 °C to +80 °C, the amount of added distilled water should not exceed 5% for brush application or 3% for spray application. For surfaces warmer than +80 °C, you should first lower the temperature by several coats with a 20-50% aqueous solution of the coating. BRONYA ANTICOR according to the instructions in Section 3 (Coating Application). For detailed instructions, contact your distributor.

Avoid aggressive mixing!

If using a drill with a mixing attachment or a special mixer, ensure the mixing speed does not exceed 150-200 RPM. Higher mixing speeds can destroy the micro-spheres and significantly reduce, or even negate, the thermal insulation properties of the coating. Immerse the mixing attachment vertically into the bucket of coating and mix slowly until the mass becomes homogeneous. Mix for 3-8 minutes with a mixer or 7-10 minutes by hand. If coating a surface where you want to prevent condensation or frost, dilute the coating minimally and allow it to dry for a minimum of 24 hours.

For coating small and/or demanding surfaces, a brush with soft, long natural bristles is recommended. For surfaces of 100 m² or more, you can apply the coating using a compressor with a working pressure of no more than 60-80 bar (IMPORTANT!!! Please read the Instructions for coating application with a compressor). The insulating coating can be applied to surfaces with temperatures ranging from +7°C to +150°C. Avoid applying the coating in very damp weather, as the diluted material will not dry. For better adhesion of the coating, it is recommended to apply a primer, prepared by diluting the coating with water to the consistency of milk. Drying a coating layer of 0.4-0.5 mm thickness requires at least 24 hours at an air temperature above +7°C. Only then can the application of the second layer begin.

A diluted coating layer thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm can be achieved with three spray gun or brush passes. The primary layer should by no means be thicker, as in that case it would form a vapor-impermeable layer that would nullify the thermal insulation properties and deform the final coating layer.

Surfaces whose temperature is above +80° C should first be coated with a diluted coating to prevent boiling (Application of a 40-50% aqueous solution of the coating is recommended). IMPORTANT: When applying BRONYA ANTICOR-on surfaces warmer than +80° C, the maximum thickness of the layers must not exceed 0.5 mm in 24 hours. The warmer the surface, the more diluted the coating should be. The diluted coating should be applied with short, quick strokes in a very thin layer. Each such layer dries for at least an hour. Layers of diluted coating should be applied until evaporation from the surface stops. Then leave the surface to dry for 20-24 hours. After this, more diluted coating is applied, with approximately 5-10% of distilled water.

A layer thickness of 0.4 mm can be controlled by instrument or by controlling the coating consumption of 0.5 liters per 1m², or by visual inspection (the previous layer must not be visible after coating). Material consumption depends on the surface area and application method. Consult a distributor for thermal engineering calculations and/or recommendations on the number and thickness of coatings.

Personal protection
Under normal conditions, the product is not hazardous to health. If used in a well-ventilated area or outdoors, a protective mask is not necessary. In an enclosed space, standard protective masks should be used. Use safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing coverings. In case the coating gets into the eyes, rinse them with running water.

Critical situations
If coating gets into eyes - rinse them with running water for about fifteen minutes. If you still feel irritation - consult your doctor. If coating gets on your skin - wash with soap and water. Protective clothing is also washed normally. In fresh air, the product in liquid form is not flammable. Coated surfaces Bronya Materials should be extinguished with water, foam, dry chemicals, and carbon dioxide in case of fire. If the product spills, use any absorbent material, such as sand or earth, or rinse with plenty of water.

THE PRODUCT MUST NOT BE FROZEN DURING TRANSPORT AND STORAGE!

Store Bronya Store in tightly sealed containers at a temperature of +5 °C to +30 °C, humidity up to 80%, and protected from direct sunlight. Transportation can be carried out by any means at temperatures above +5 °C and protected from direct sunlight. Be careful when packing for transport: no more than 3 x 20 L cans should be stacked one on top of another, and no more than 5 x 10 L cans without additional packaging! Failure to comply with these rules may result in damage to the material and a loss of its thermal insulation properties, in which case the manufacturer and distributor cannot be held responsible for any resulting defects.
