Instructions for applying Bronya Classic:

Bronya Classic is a coating that creates a film layer on a substrate, intended for thermal insulation of metal, plastic, and other surfaces. It withstands temperatures from -60°C to +200°C (and can endure up to +260°C for short periods). Bronya adheres excellently to all types of surfaces and can be applied at working temperatures from +7°C to +150°C. When working with the liquid insulating coating Bronya Classic, it is crucial to consider the following:

  1. The insulating coating must not freeze
  2. Before opening the bucket, check that the protective seals on the lid are undamaged.
  3. When preparing, the coating should not be mixed too quickly
  4. When preparing, the coating may be diluted with distilled water strictly according to instructions

WARNING: THE PRODUCT MUST NOT BE FROZEN DURING STORAGE!

Packaging and Modifications

Classic NG

Available in 5, 10, and 20-liter packs.

There is also Non-flammable modification!

The 20L plastic bucket of Bronya Classic thermal insulation coating weighs only 9.5 kg. During proper transport and storage, the microstructure of Bronya liquid thermal insulation remains unchanged.

Instructions for use

A) The surface must be cleaned of dirt, rust, dust, old paint, and sanded to remove coarse particles. ‘Bloom’ rust must not remain on metal surfaces, as it will peel off the substrate along with the coating after the BRONYA coating is applied. Metal surfaces should be sanded with metal brushes or a grinder before application until the rust is completely removed. Rusty metal surfaces should be coated with an anti-corrosive primer and left to dry for at least 2 hours. New metal surfaces should be carefully cleaned of preservatives. The prepared surface must be free of cracks, grease, and must be completely dry. It also must not be too flexible.

B) In order for the BRONYA CLASSIC coating to be applied to a metal surface prone to rust at temperatures from 90°C to +150°C, it must be cleaned of dirt and grease, and then coated or BRONYA ANTICOR coating (recommended) or 1-2 coats of anti-corrosion agent.

C) If BRONYA CLASSIC is intended for application on a rust-resistant metal surface, the shiny layer and impurities should be mechanically removed from the surface, degreased, and 1-2 coats of anti-corrosion agent should be applied.

BRONYA CLASSIC is essentially ready to use, but it can be diluted with distilled water. The amount of water added depends on the temperature of the surface it is applied to, the ambient temperature and humidity, the method of application, and other factors. For application to surfaces with a temperature between +5 °C and +80 °C, the amount of added distilled water should not exceed 5% for brush application or 3% for airless application. For application on surfaces warmer than +80 °C, contact the distributor for detailed instructions.

AVOID AGGRESSIVE MIXING!

If using a drill with a mixing attachment or a special mixer, ensure the mixing speed does not exceed 150-200 RPM. Higher mixing speeds can destroy the micro-spheres, significantly reducing, or even negating, the thermal insulation properties of the coating. Immerse the mixing attachment vertically into the bucket of coating and mix slowly until the mass becomes homogeneous, like cream. Mix for 3-8 minutes with a mixer or 7-10 minutes by hand. If coating a surface where you want to prevent condensation or frost, dilute the coating minimally and allow it to dry for at least 24 hours.

For applying the coating, a brush with long, soft bristles or a compressor is recommended (use products and models from recommended manufacturers). For coating small and/or intricate surfaces, use a soft brush. You can apply the coating to a surface of 100 m2 using a compressor with a working pressure not exceeding 60-80 bar (IMPORTANT!!! Not all compressors are suitable for spraying BRONYA coatings!!!)

A layer thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm of diluted coating can be achieved with three compressor passes.

The primary layer should not be too thin, as it would then form an impermeable layer that would negate the thermal insulation properties and deform the final coating layer. Surfaces with temperatures from +80°C to +150°C should first be coated with a diluted coating to prevent boiling (a 20-50% water solution of the coating is recommended). IMPORTANT: When applying BRONYA CLASSIC to a surface hotter than +80°C, the maximum thickness of layers should not exceed 0.5 mm in 24 hours. The hotter the surface, the more diluted the coating should be. Apply the diluted coating with short, quick strokes in a thin layer. Each such layer dries for at least one hour. Apply diluted coating layers until evaporation from the surface stops, but they should not be thicker than 0.5 mm.

Then let the surface dry for at least 24 hours. After that, apply a coating diluted with 3%–5% distilled water in layers 0.5 mm thick. Each layer is dried for 24 hours. A 0.5 mm film thickness on the compressor can be achieved by setting the consumption to 0.55 liters per square meter (average consumption when brushing onto a flat surface). Consumption depends on the type of surface and the application method. The total coating thickness and number of layers depend on the heat calculation or the recommendation of a certified representative.

Personal protection
Under normal conditions, the product is not hazardous to health. If used in a well-ventilated area or outdoors, a protective mask is not necessary. In an enclosed space, standard protective masks should be used. Use safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing coverings. In case the coating gets into the eyes, rinse them with running water.

Critical situations
If the coating gets into your eyes – rinse them with running water for about fifteen minutes. If you still feel irritation – consult your doctor. If the coating gets on your skin – wash with soap and water. Protective clothing can also be washed normally. In the open air, the product in liquid form is non-flammable. Surfaces coated with Bronya materials can be extinguished with water, foam, dry chemicals, or carbon dioxide in the event of a fire. If the product is spilled, use any absorbent material, such as sand or earth, or flush with plenty of water.

THE PRODUCT MUST NOT BE FROZEN DURING TRANSPORT AND STORAGE!

Store BRONYA coatings in tightly sealed containers at temperatures from +5 °C to +30 °C, humidity up to 80%, and protected from direct sunlight. Transportation is possible by any means at temperatures above +5 °C and protected from direct sunlight. Be careful when packing for transport: no more than three 20 L cans stacked on top of each other and no more than five 10 L cans without additional packaging! Failure to comply with these rules may result in damage to the material and a loss of its thermal insulation properties, in which case the manufacturer and distributor cannot be held responsible for any resulting defects.
