Bronya Fire Protection

Bronya FireProtection (R45, R60, R90, R120) fire-resistant coating is used to improve the fire resistance of enclosure structures. The application process of the protective material is simple, which makes additional installation works unnecessary. Fire-resistant coatings are reliable and durable, therefore fire protection using coatings is practical and cost-effective. This is particularly relevant for hard-to-reach areas, as you do not need to dismantle structures to re-perform fire protection work.

Advantages of Bronya fire-resistant coating:

  • Good market price
  • High fire protection and physical-mechanical properties with low consumption
  • Code for use with LCTIM (Bronya) Anticor, Bronya Facade, Bronya Light, Bronya Classic, ..., the coating does not compromise its thermophysical properties (including those of competing brands) and allows the system to obtain a non-combustibility rating.
  • Unlike its equivalents, Bronya fire-resistant coating can be painted, and this does not compromise the surface's fire resistance.
  • Cost-effective fire protection option
  • Reasonable labor costs and low execution prices
  • Coating (without additional protective layer) is intended for indoor use for 30 years

The quality of the Bronya Fire Protection composition allows for what was previously considered impossible: the protection of light steel structures to an R120 rating. The composition has been specially developed for use in sports and infrastructure facilities where structural load is low, with a large surface area of structures and low mass factors of load-bearing steel elements. In addition to all this, the traditional advantages of the Bronya Fire Protection coating are fully preserved, namely low cost, easy application, effective protection, and long service life..

Principle of operation

The video shows the effectiveness of Bronya fire protection coating on 5mm thick cardboard coated with a 2.2mm thick layer of Bronya Fireprotection:

When the coating is heated, inert gas vapors (which are part of the material's composition) are released, which slow down and do not support combustion by displacing oxygen, thus ensuring fire protection. Therefore, fire-resistant coatings not only block thermal convection but also significantly temper and smother flames.

Simultaneously, the top layer swells, foams, and hardens. The coating contains fire retardants, special gas-generating agents, foam layer stabilizers, and heat-resistant elements based on a polymeric binder.

Areas of application

  • Steel structures in infrastructure
  • Oil refineries
  • Chemical production plants, including those with mildly to moderately acidic or alkaline environments
  • Open and closed parking lots, grandstands, bridges
  • Construction applications without limitations
  • Other structures where the application of fire-resistant coating is the only feasible option due to various technical limitations

Application of Bronya Fire Protection coatings in conjunction with Bronya liquid ceramic thermal insulation coatings

The system of fire-resistant and thermal insulation coatings consists of Bronya primer, Bronya liquid ceramic thermal insulation coating, Bronya Fire Protection fire-resistant coating, and an additional (protective) layer of Bronya hydrophobizer.

Bronya FireProtection has the following advantages:

  • Higher fire resistance rating (R) of facade constructions - from R45 to R120. The coating thickness is selected according to Table 1.
  • When used together with LCTIM, the coating does not compromise its thermophysical properties (including those of competing brands) and allows the system to obtain the non-combustible (NG) rating.
  • Unlike its equivalents, Bronya fire-resistant coating can be painted, and this does not compromise the surface's fire resistance.
  • It has the same base as Bronya LCTIM, which, when used together, allows for the creation of a perfect Bronya NG non-combustible system with high fire resistance indicators and thermophysical properties.
  • Possibility of use for fire protection and thermal insulation of metal structures (using LCTIM Bronya Classic and Bronya Antirust), as well as for cladding (using Bronya Facade and Bronya Winter)
  • The coating (without an additional protective layer) is intended for indoor use and lasts for 30 years.
