The primary purpose of thermal insulation of tanks is protection from overheating in the sun. This problem occurs when using tanks for storing petroleum products (crude oil and fuels – gasoline, diesel, kerosene, fuel oil). The boiling point of petroleum products is +40° C, which produces vapors. During the summer, losses due to evaporation can reach 30-40% of the tank's% content, especially in warmer regions where metal surfaces can heat up to over 80° C.
