What is Bronya?

Bronya is a protected name for a series of ultrafine ceramic insulation coatings whose key ingredient is hollow ceramic microspheres. These are the latest generation of insulation coatings and are a product of microsphere nanotechnology development. They are applied simply like paint, but are not paint, rather extremely effective and durable thermal insulation with anti-corrosive, water-repellent, and fire-resistant properties, depending on modification.

The manufacturer of Bronya ceramic thermal insulation coatings is Volgograd Innovation Resource Center (V.I.R.C.), founded in 2007 in Volgograd (Russian Federation). Bronya products have been developed and perfected thanks to its own modern laboratory and a team of scientists focused on innovation. Bronya has an ISO 9001:2015 certificate for its quality management system.

Thermal conductivity coefficient The thickness of ceramic thermal insulation coatings is only 0.001 W/mK. For comparison, classic thermal insulation materials like styrofoam and mineral wool, Bronya thermal insulation coatings have a 50 times lower thermal conductivity coefficient. This means that A 1 mm thick Bronya coating is equivalent to 50 mm of expanded polystyrene or mineral wool.. In addition, Bronya thermal insulation coatings are durable, resistant, and harmless, and can withstand temperatures ranging from -60 oC plus 260 odepending on the modification. They can be applied to metal, concrete, aerated concrete, brick, plaster, gypsum, plastic, rubber, glass, wood, and many other surfaces.

If you want to solve the thermal insulation problem for a house, cottage, building, apartment, vehicle, vessel, tank, pipeline, or plant – be sure to inquire about Bronya nano-thermal insulation coatings. The very name Bronya in Russian means armor or protective coating.

Types of Bronya products

Insulating coatings can be divided into 6 main groups:

Thermal insulation coatings

Coatings have unique thermophysical properties. 1 mm of Bronya thermal insulation coating is equivalent in thermal insulation effect to 50 mm of mineral wool or 50 mm of expanded polystyrene (styrofoam). It prevents heat loss and condensation, ensures corrosion protection and burn protection depending on the modification.

Examples

Water-based coatings that excellently prepare the surface for further application of other Bronya coatings and help with better adhesion

Sound insulation coatings

To solve the problems of noise and vibration reduction, a unique series of soundproofing products was created, and some modifications of Bronya Light thermal insulation coatings have soundproofing properties.

It is important to mention that Bronya insulating coatings also have some of the properties of other coatings, and vice-versa. This is most evident from the names, for example, TermoHydroPlast, where this modification clearly has both thermal and waterproofing properties!

Thermal insulation coatings

4 reasons to choose Bronya thermal insulation coatings over classic thermal insulation:

  1. Best insulation materials you've ever seen
  2. They were developed thanks to a modern laboratory and the availability of the latest global technology in the chemical industry.
  3. There are specialized variants that have excellent anti-corrosion and fire-retardant properties without affecting excellent thermal insulation properties.
  4. Unlike styrofoam, fiberglass, and other classic thermal insulation materials that lose their thermal insulation characteristics after only a few years of exposure to atmospheric conditions, Bronya coatings retain their properties for a long time -> a minimum of 15 years on exterior surfaces and a minimum of 25 years on interior surfaces.

Why use it?

Bronya thermal insulation coatings are applied as easily as paint and act as an effective thermal, acoustic, and waterproof barrier. Just 1 mm of Bronya coating has a thermal insulation efficiency equal to 5 cm of polystyrene or rock wool!

By applying multiple layers, you can determine the level of insulation you need. It can be applied to any surface – just like paint. Bronya thermal insulation coatings have a very wide range of applications. They are used on all types of buildings, pipelines, tanks, vehicles, containers, and plants.

After drying or polymerization, the coating appears as a matte, flexible film and has unique thermal insulation properties, preventing heat transfer and condensation, and providing corrosion protection and burn protection.

Most Popular Bronya Products

Bronya Classic & NG - Applies like paint, works like a thermal barrier!

Bronya ceramic thermal insulation is a high-performance material for thermal insulation of exterior and interior walls, roofs, door frames, window frames, concrete floors, hot and cold water pipes, steam pipes, ventilation and air conditioning ducts, refrigeration units, storage tanks, trailers, refrigerated trucks, etc. It withstands temperatures from -60°C to +200°C (and up to +260°C for short periods (1-2 hours)). It is applied to prevent condensation on cold water pipelines and to prevent heat loss in heating systems.

Bronya Facade & NG - Apply to the surface in layers 1 mm thick!

Liquid ceramic thermal insulation that can be applied in single layers of 1mm thickness while maintaining vapor permeability. This is the first liquid thermal insulation that can be applied to building walls and facades. It can be used to insulate walls made of various materials – concrete, brick, wood, etc.

Bronya Light & NG - Levels the surface and insulates!

Liquid ceramic thermal insulation with several functions: it levels the surface, provides thermal and acoustic insulation, prevents the formation of mold and condensation on building structure joints, and acts as a separating layer for Bronya Facade, Bronya Classic, or Bronya Anticor coatings from materials that would degrade their thermophysical properties.

Bronya Anticor - Straight to the rust!

The first and only thermal insulation material that can be applied directly to a rusted surface. It is sufficient to remove loose rust particles with a wire brush; after that, apply Bronya Anticor thermal insulation according to the attached instructions. Bronya Anticor liquid thermal insulation is a high-performance coating: in addition to thermal insulation, it also possesses strong anti-corrosion properties. In all other technical characteristics, requirements, and usage, it is identical to the basic Bronya Classic coating. The use of Bronya Anticor thermal insulation material on existing facilities and pipelines significantly reduces operating costs because no special surface preparation is required for its application, nor is it necessary to shut down operations to carry out the work.

Applied Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is the manipulation of matter at the atomic and molecular level. It was developed thanks to our own modern laboratory and the availability of the latest global technology in the chemical industry.

The thermal conductivity coefficient of Bronya ceramic thermal insulation coatings is only 0.001 W/mK (±0.0002 W/mK) which prevents heat transfer, condensation, and corrosion. For comparison, the thermal conductivity coefficient of classic materials such as expanded polystyrene (styrofoam) and rock wool is about 0.05 W/mK. In addition, both styrofoam and rock wool quickly lose their properties due to atmospheric influences – they can lose up to 40% of their thermal insulation properties in the first year.

Expanded polystyrene emits toxic gases when ignited, and dust particles from mineral wool cause lung irritation. Constant inhalation can lead to silicosis or similar diseases, and they are also a source of allergens. Bronya ceramic nano-thermal insulation coatings do not evaporate, are not a source of dust, and are safer for insulation than traditional materials.

Under a microscope, a special microstructure of Bronya thermal insulation coatings can be seen - hollow ceramic spheres bound by polymers.
