Thermal insulation and waterproofing of the flat roof of a building in Zagreb
In Zagreb, there are many old buildings that have a thermally uninsulated flat concrete roof with a bitumen felt waterproofing layer. During sunny days, the surface temperature of such a roof can reach up to 60°C, which causes high cooling costs for apartments on the top floor during the summer. In winter, the thermally uninsulated roof creates high heating costs for the apartments.
Micro-ceramic thermal insulation “Bronya” effectively reduces cooling costs in the summer and heating costs in the winter due to its properties of reflecting solar rays and thermal insulation. It is quickly applied and more resistant to climatic conditions than other types of thermal insulation.
Before applying the thermal insulation layer, critical areas on the roof were additionally waterproofed with liquid polymer waterproofing. Bronya Aquablock Effect.
Polymer ceramic thermal insulation Bronya Classic or Bronya Facade It can be applied to horizontal surfaces with a trowel, brush, and compressor in multiple thin layers, with each layer drying for 24 hours beforehand.
A total thickness of only four layers, amounting to two millimeters, is sufficient to achieve the optimal balance between energy savings and the cost of insulation.
Renovation and waterproofing of a flat roof of a residential building in Zagreb
The renovation of the flat roof of a residential building in Zagreb lasted one month. After removing the worn-out substrate, repairing and leveling the roof, a final layer of elastic polymer waterproofing was installed. Bronya Aquablock Effect, weatherproof. The snow-white color of the waterproofing further reduces roof heating, especially during the summer months.
Terrace thermal insulation and waterproofing
Waterproofing and thermal insulation of the skyscraper terrace at Bana Josipa Jelačića 4, Zadar have been completed. In addition, a complete renovation of the entire terrace was carried out, which includes sheet metal and mechanical engineering work.
Terrace thermal insulation and waterproofing – Zemunik Gornji
March 2020. For the thermal insulation of a 35m2 terrace in Zemunik Gornji, we used Bronya Classic which was applied in 4 layers with a total thickness of 2mm. After that, 2 layers were applied Bronya Light with a total thickness of 1.5mm. This completes the thermal insulation process. After that, we performed waterproofing by applying Bronya Aquablock Effect It has 3 layers with a total thickness of ~1,66mm. For the terrace finish, the investor planned tiles applied directly to the Bronya Aquablock waterproofing.
Thermal insulation and waterproofing of a basement apartment in Zagreb (Vrapče)
Despite using a dehumidifier, the apartment was damp and cold before the renovation, especially in winter. The renovation consisted of waterproofing and thermal insulation of the floor, and thermal insulation of the walls. Polymer waterproofing was used. Bronya Aquablock Effect The application was performed with an airless sprayer in two coats with a total thickness of 1mm. Floor thermal insulation was made with a thermal insulation coating. Bronya Classic 2 layers – 1mm total thermal insulation of walls with thermal insulation coating Bronya Facade – also in 2 layers – 1mm total.
